Re: oh Noes homework
Thats true I remeber when i were a lad, you used to have to leave the simulation running over night, and then after weeks of staring at wiggly lines, you would switch the thing on and it would just do it in real time which is always a bit of a shock.

Re: oh Noes homework
Agreed -- the only problem is when you have a mega-huge design and the simulator can only handle a couple of system clock cycles...

Re: oh Noes homework
Ive added a load of stuff in my blog about using simulators both in my GOL thingy and in general, it saves 90% of the debugging time if you get the red bits out of the simulation before you try it in the FPGA, red bits in your simulation is gods way of saying that your design is a bit wonky.

He says you could do the same with a dog and use bones for the propellers.

My cat, Clarence would have your dog anyday, with one paw tied behind his back.

My dog Henri (French pronunciation) will eat just about anything -- although he stops short of cats (their tails get stuck in his teeth :-)

I am shocked and horrified. It appears that those little scamps at Planet Analog are writing blogs pertaining to field-programmable issues.

Would you class these as adages, aphorisms, axioms, dictums, epigrams, maxims, precepts, saws, truisms, or... well, what?
In part 3 of this epic tale we consider how we might use tri-state buffers, leading up to the legendary bi-directional buffer.
Design West 2013 was one of the best conferences and exhibitions Max has attended in terms of interesting presentations and fun events.
