As always, this week's All Programmable Planet live online chat -- which will be held Thursday, March 7 -- promises to be a rip-roaring, fun-filled, roller-coaster thrill ride of thrust-and-parry ideas. Only thrill seekers need apply.
Last week's chat was as weird and wonderful as ever. We learned that Duane Benson has got the motor drive system for his robot avatar wired together and is controlling it wirelessly from a PC via his Synapse Wireless board. We also discussed the status of the prop I'm going to be using as part of the Danger Will Robinson radiation talk I'll be giving at Design West. Then we touched on our CapNet wireless mesh networked propeller beanie project. And that's when things started to get very interesting.
Interesting/thought-provoking image of the week.
In the case of this week's chat, the great thing about APP is that everyone has so much input and such interesting ideas that someone will set a conversational ball rolling, and everyone else will race around adding different thoughts and perspectives. I know that I, for one, want to... but, no, you'll just have to wait and see.
The chat -- which is similar to using an IM (instant messaging) system, but which actually employs your Web browser -- will commence at noon my time (Central USA Time), which is 1:00 p.m. EST, 10:00 a.m. PST, and 6:00 p.m. UTC/GMT. You'll have to work out your local time from these clues, or you can use this handy-dandy time zone converter.
All you have to do is click here at the appropriate time to join the fun and make your opinions known. If you aren't already an APP member, now would be a perfect time to register.
C U there. B there, or B square.
