@Duane I like the book as it is readable and uses examples others haven't used, not copying other texts.
I think if you follow the book through you would be able to build the code for a soft core processor.

@Max: Looks interesting, the LVDS, and I'm looking forward to reading it to the end. However, I thought this issue of cross talk was well understood since I was in college! But to be fair, because I've been always a little bit more excited about digital electronics, formal controls, and maxwell equations, I didn't ever forget about it, because I had a college friend (we're are still very close, he in Brazil and me here in the US) who is an analog electronics maniac. In his doctoral studies he did a project where he got logic gates and found ways of linearizing the transistors behavior inside the chip! Can you believe someone like this?

They have another store -- 22,000 squate feet that's jam-packed with stuff -- in Decatur, which is about 20 miles away -- the father who owned all of thsi passed away aboyt 6 months ago --- they are closeing the Decature store and moving everything over to the Huntsville store and...
We used to have a few good ones here. We had Wacky Willy's electroncis surplus. The had two locations and as far as I can tell are gone now. One of my favorites in years past was teh Tek country store. Lot's of ggo surplus stuf from the back alleys of Tektronics. Sadly, it's gone now too.
@Duane: I still haven't been. The sad thing is that I stopped bu Max's office on the way out of town to say "hi" and grab a coffee. He was headed to that store about an hour later. I would have LOVED to have gone to the store - but, work had been stacking up all morning... I'll make it over there one of these days...

No, I think it makes perfect sense. It explains why positive AND negative glitches could cause problems (depends on whether the signal was high or low at the time).
@Max not at all it was a good explaination, maybe the newbies need to understand a little about logic thresholds as well though

My goal is to hold a chess-playing extravaganza at Design West 2014, in which FPGA-based and/or MCU-based "Robots" compete for a grand prize.
In addition to applications for reprogrammable hardware and processors in the Internet of Things, it also seems as if there will be a growing need to embed pieces of FPGA-like fabric into SoCs.
Colors are simply names we give to specific wavelengths or combinations of wavelengths that are received by our eyes. Maybe we each see colors differently.
Now we are ready to bring all the parts together and construct the GPS-driven, FPGA-decoded Nixie tube speedometer for use in a 1953 International pickup truck.
