I was born and raised in Brazil where I earned my Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering. Later, at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, I completed a PhD ABD in Control Systems Theory as a sequel to my Master's Thesis.

In my professional life, I have pursued careers as a University Professor, Telecommunications Engineer, and Business Owner.

Currently, I am developing a new business endeavor in the field of sensor networks. My company, which is named Endless Energy Devices, will be developing IP for the emerging market segment of autonomous sensor network nodes, with a primary mission to provide solutions for medical and lighting applications.
